These terms govern the use of the Synsema Platform: the site at https://control-1.synsema.com, the dashboard, the API, the syn command-line tool and the services that run at *.synsema.app. The platform is operated by the operator of synsema.com ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform you ("you") accept these terms. If you use the platform on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you can bind it.
The platform runs programs written in the Synsema language under the capability ceiling they declare, seals the secrets they use, and keeps an audit of the permission checks they make. It is offered in preview: features change, and what a plan includes is described on the pricing page and in the dashboard at the moment you use it.
We can change these terms. Each version carries a date at the top. When a change is material, the dashboard shows the new version and asks you to accept it before you continue using it; using the API or keeping services running after the date of a new version also counts as acceptance. If you do not agree with a new version, stop using the platform and ask us to delete your account.
You need an account to deploy. You must give accurate information, keep your password and API tokens secret, and you are responsible for everything done with your account, including by programs and agents that use your tokens. You must be at least 18 years old. One person is responsible for each account; teams share projects through the plans that allow it.
The Free plan is free and limited, as described on the pricing page. The Pro plan is a subscription billed in advance, per period, through Stripe, at the price shown at checkout plus applicable taxes. It renews automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, and there is no refund for the rest of the period unless the law where you live requires one. Enterprise is agreed separately in writing.
When a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a few days; if it keeps failing, the account goes back to the Free plan. A plan is enforced the moment it changes: a service that the new plan does not allow stops; when there are more live services or more memory than the plan holds, all of them stop and you start what fits; a project that the plan cannot hold at all is deleted fourteen days later unless a plan that holds it comes back. We can change the prices and what each plan includes; a price change applies to your subscription from its next renewal after we have told you at least thirty days in advance, and you can cancel before then.
You keep every right over the code and the data you upload. You grant us the license needed to store, run and show it to you as the platform requires, and nothing more. You are responsible for your programs: for what they do, for the data they process, for the third parties they call and for the rights you need to do all that. The platform is "bring your own key": the keys of the LLM providers and of any other service belong to you, and their terms apply to your use of them.
You must not use the platform to break the law, to attack, probe or overload systems that are not yours, to mine cryptocurrency, to send spam, to process data you have no right to process, to circumvent the capability ceiling, the plan limits or the isolation between services, or to resell the platform as such. We can suspend a service or an account when we have reason to believe it is being used in one of these ways, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Secrets you set are stored in our control plane and handed to your service as its environment; they are not shown to anyone, and they leave our systems only towards the machines that run your service. The ceiling is enforced as your program declares it and your plan allows it. The audit records the permission checks the runtime makes. These are tools that reduce risk; they do not make a program correct or a provider safe, and you remain responsible for reviewing what your programs do. Do not put on the platform a secret you could not rotate if it were exposed.
A program that signs transactions, spends or pays does so under your instructions and your keys. We do not hold funds, we are not a payment institution, and the signing and spending limits are means to bound a program, not a promise about the outcome of a transaction. You are solely responsible for every transaction your programs make and for complying with the rules that apply to them where you are.
The platform is in preview and is offered without a service-level commitment, except where an Enterprise agreement says otherwise. We can change, limit or discontinue features, with reasonable notice when the change affects running services. We make backups of the control plane for our own recovery; keep your own copies of your code and of any data you cannot afford to lose.
We can suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms, for non-payment, for a security or legal risk, or when the law requires it. You can stop using the platform at any time; write to hello@synsema.com to have your account deleted. When an account or a project is deleted, its services stop and its code, its volumes, its logs and its audit are erased as described in the privacy policy. Sections 5, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 16 survive termination.
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty, express or implied, about its availability, fitness for a purpose, security or the results your programs produce.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost profits, data or business, or for the actions of your programs, of the LLM providers and of the other third parties you use. Our total liability for all claims related to the platform is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
You will defend and hold us harmless from claims, damages and costs arising from your programs, your data, your use of the platform or your breach of these terms.
The platform, its site, its dashboard and its documentation are ours. The Synsema language is open source under the license published in its repository, which governs it. The name Synsema and the platform's marks may not be used to suggest an association we have not agreed to.
Payments are processed by Stripe under its own terms. Your services run on machines of hosting providers we choose. Your programs call the providers you choose with your keys. We are not a party to those relationships.
These terms are governed by the law of the place where the operator of synsema.com has its domicile, and any dispute is brought before its courts, without prejudice to the rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of the place where you live.
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the platform. If a clause is found invalid, the rest stays in force. You may not assign your account; we may assign these terms to a successor of the platform. Notices to you go to the email of your account; notices to us go to hello@synsema.com.
